In the very near future.

August 24, 2009

All due to the fact that I have made so many Colt Walker rigs I am finding myself in need of a Walker page. So in the very near future look for the dedicated Colt Walker page.
Also coming in the very near future is going to be a first for us here at BBG Custom Leather is a Custom holster and or rig for the LeMat Revolver. Start Looking for pictures and links.

What it takes.

July 2, 2009

I have been working on a Walker Rig and have been taking photos as I go. So I figured I would post the photos here so you all could see what it takes to build a gun rig.

First is the design layout.

Next is selecting a nice piece of leather.

002

Then its time to cut it out.
003

Now its time to transfer the design to the leather.

Here is the design completely transfered to the leather

006

Now its time to cut the design into the leather.

007

Still cutting.
008

And here is the piece all cut in waiting for the beveler

009

And now we start to do all the beveling and back grounding

012

Then after all the beveling and background work add a few decorative cuts and now its ready for dyeing and sewing.

More pics to come as soon as I get them taken thanks for checking us out.

Why I Carry a Gun
>
> My old grandpa said to me son,’ there comes a time in every man’s life
> when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s

A new rig in the works.

April 23, 2009

Will with summer coming fast here in the south Florida swamp its time to put my thinking cap on and come up with a new rig. Lets see I have 2 1858 Remingtons So I think its time to make a double Buscadero Rig. Fully carved with fancy conchos. Need to get a small video camera so I can video the piece start to finish. I figure that I have many strong side rigs for myself. So this is gonna be something different. Stay posted for the pics and possibly the video. Until next time.

Hello this is my first attempt at blogging so please bare with me.

April 21, 2009

First of all I would like to thank all the people that have supported me with my little leather business. I have been working with leather for about 30 years. And I do love to work with leather but now with the holsters and gun belts that I have been making it really gives me a sense of pride, when I ship out a holster to someone and they give me feed back like my pistol fits great or I get a lot of compliments on my new gun rig. And it gives me the warm fuzzies. LOL. So please keep checking back to this blog and keep checking my website because I am always adding new pieces and new ideas.

Thank You all very much. Keep your powder dry and always aim true.
